We have a couple of things going on in MLAC this week.
Thursday 20th November, 5pm in ER 152: ‘Writing a thesis / finishing a thesis’ with Dr Sam Bootle. Whether you are just starting your PhD, right in the middle or approaching the end, this should be useful for you. Sam’s workshop will address the major issues of the thesis-writing process and there will be the opportunity to ask him specific questions about your personal queries/concerns.
Friday 21st November, 1pm in A56: ‘Research in Gender Studies’, a discussion led by Dr Santiago Fouz-Hernandez. Come along to this short presentation by an expert on gendered approaches to scholarship; it will be followed by a discussion. Whether your work is situated within gender studies or not, gender is a key trend within academia today. Deepen your knowledge, learn something new, air your opinions (positive or negative!).
