Alejandra Arias is a current student of the MA in Visual Arts and Culture.
Why did you decide to do the MA in Visual Arts and Cultures?
The new program offered us a chance to have an interdisciplinary study, allowing us to be creative with our MAs.
What does Durham offer a student interested in visual culture?
Durham University has many links with outside institutions and museums, allowing its students to take advantages of a variety of facilities across the country while at the same time providing its own resources as a world heritage site.
How is the MA structured?
You have one core module (theory based) and two optional modules that can vary across different departments, as well as a dissertation.
What has been the highlight of the MA so far?
Being able to cross relate modules. Their variety allows for creative stimulation into your own research and preferences.
