Finding (and Acquiring) Funding: a PG Workshop

Leaves are falling, the nights are drawing in, and tea and biscuits are becoming more of a necessity than a luxury. That’s right, it’s postgrad application season! To help you secure the funding you might need to pursue your studies further (if you are a Master’s student) or to organise conferences, placements or mount collaborative projects (if you are a PhD student), the Center for Nineteenth-Century Studies is running a Funding Workshop for Postgraduates on the 9th November.

Finding (and Acquiring) Funding Workshop:

Doctoral, Collaborative, and Small Grants

Thursday 9th November, 9am – 1pm, Seminar Room, Institute of Advanced Studies, Durham University

Hosted by the Centre for Nineteenth-Century Studies, the ‘Finding (and Acquiring) Funding’ workshop aims to illuminate aspects of the academic funding process for postgraduates at every level, alongside early-career researchers from across disciplines and time periods. The workshop brings together academics, postgraduates, and researchers collaborating with non-universities to offer tips, advice, and insight into seeking (and successfully acquiring) pots of funding for doctoral study, collaborative partnerships, and small grants. The event is free to attend and aimed particularly at current PhD and MA students, but all postgraduates and early-career researchers are welcome.
